Nigeria and Divas Award, a platform which is honoring Ex-Miss Anambra, Chidinma Okeke, for her Outstanding Strength; has told Celeb Police that they only want to give her a second chance of being a Queen.

Chijioke told Celeb Police’s Gbenga Shabain an exclusive chat this afternoon, Wednesday November 3, 2016, that Chidinma, will receive an Award of Excellence as Queen of Gold at the upcoming Divas Awards in Calabar, for not giving up during trying times and staying strong against all odds.
On the fear that she might be arrested or assassinated by her alleged assainlants, Chijioke said; “To make an arrest, one has to follow the provisions of the Nigerian Constitution. You can’t just wake up one day and arrest someone. You have to follow due process. We’re very aware of that. It’s true that anything goes in Nigeria, at least that is what we’ve been seeing, but an average Nigerian who knows his rights is of more value than an illiterate and wealthy leader. An order for Chidinma’s arrest must come from the appropriate authority and the law has to be properly followed. So, till a case is made against Chidinma and a warrant officially issued for her arrest, I believe she is safe. She still remains a Nigerian and as such she has her rights. Those rights, even though it has been trampled on so much with her consent, have to be respected.”He said; “People say a lot of things. And we’re all entitled to our opinions. It’s funny how everybody becomes a mind reader. Diva Queens Nigeria Limited is a brand that supports women empowerment and independence. Our target is to reach out to at least 500 women every year. We took out time to study Chidinma’s case right from the onset. We’ve had her video analyzed and also talked to our legal team on the various legal faces of the issue. Now Chidinma’s case is just like the case of women trafficking. These girls go into a lot of things for various reasons. It could be money, it could be fame and it could be for a good life. But, the society does not need to cast them away no matter how rotten they may appear. A good society must have a good ‘rehabilitational system’. The award is not to congratulate Chidinma on her mistakes, it’s to support a girl who is having a rough time and to give her a second chance if she is willing to accept it.”

CommentsHe also confirmed that Chidinma had fled from Nigeria and was granted asylum in another country as Celeb Police had reported, but said she only left because of her safety and vowed that all hands would be on deck to ensure her safety back to the country and during the event. “Yes, we are well aware of that information. And trust me; asylum is the wrong word to use. She said her life’s being threatened by her oppressors, so she just needed to stay away for her safety or at least to feel safe. All necessary provisions will be made for her once she arrives the State.”


They would be giving Miss Chidinma this award despite her back to back lesbian video scandal that went viral for more than 1 week, a feat which also topped the Google’s chat for the most searched scandal for days.
